Every course published on FayEDU passes a quality gate before it reaches a single learner. Here is exactly how we ensure that — from pedagogy to curriculum alignment to educator accountability.
African learners deserve courses that actually help them learn — not just courses that look professional. We built FayEDU's quality system because we believe that good pedagogy and good technology belong together.
When you see a course on FayEDU, it has been scored against five quality dimensions, the educator has agreed to our teaching standards, and the content has been structured using our research-validated framework. That is our promise.
Every course is automatically scored before publishing. A minimum of 55 out of 100 is required. No exceptions.
Does the course clearly state what learners will be able to DO after completing it? Outcome-driven design is the foundation of every recognised curriculum framework — from CBC to Cambridge to IB.
Is the course logically organised with clear units and progressive complexity? Good structure means learners build knowledge step by step — not in random jumps.
Does the course test knowledge throughout — not just at the end? Formative assessment at unit level is core to both CBC and Cambridge's approach to learning.
Does the course use multiple content formats? Text, video, images, and interactive elements — aligned to UDL (Universal Design for Learning) and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility principles.
Does the course guide learners when they get stuck? Forum access, AI summaries, and OER library resources ensure no learner is left behind.
FILF — our research framework — is built on the same pedagogical foundations as the curricula your educators already know. Our framework maps naturally to both national and international standards.
Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum focuses on critical thinking, practical skills, and 21st century competencies. FILF's outcome-driven design and formative assessment phases directly align with CBC's learning progression approach.
Uganda's curriculum reform aligns labour market skills with competency-based learning. FayEDU's scaffolded content structure and practical assessment tools support Uganda's skills-first education goals.
Tanzania's CBC reform under Vision 2025 emphasises practical skills and economic relevance. FILF's vocational and needs-analysis phases map directly to Tanzania's curriculum priorities.
Rwanda's competency-based reforms parallel Kenya's approach with strong emphasis on learner-centred pedagogy. FayEDU's multimodal delivery and continuous feedback phases align with Rwanda's education modernisation goals.
FayEDU does not hold formal accreditation from the organisations below. We align to their published pedagogical principles — the same principles that inform FILF's design.
Our learning outcome and assessment phases follow the same Bloom's Taxonomy foundations used in Cambridge's curriculum design. Educators building Cambridge-aligned courses will find FILF's structure familiar and compatible.
IB's Approaches to Learning (ATL) and inquiry-based design principles are reflected in FILF's needs analysis and scaffolding phases. IB educators can structure Units of Inquiry directly in FayEDU's course builder.
FayEDU uses UNESCO's International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) to level-classify courses — from Early Childhood (ISCED 0) through Higher Education (ISCED 6–8). This makes courses discoverable by learners at the right level.
FILF's multimodal delivery phase is informed by Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and WCAG 2.1 AA principles. Multiple content formats mean all learners can engage regardless of learning style or ability.
FayEDU actively supports technical and vocational educators. FILF's practical skills assessment phase maps to CBET competency unit standards used across East Africa's TVET sector.
Every FayEDU course outcome is written using Bloom's Taxonomy verb framework — from Remember and Understand through Analyse, Evaluate, and Create. This is the shared language of CBC, Cambridge, IB, and professional training.
Quality is not just about content — it is about how educators support their learners after publishing.
Every educator is rated on forum response rate, assignment grading speed, and student completion rate. Rating directly affects payout percentage — from 25% (Poor) to 40% (Excellent). We align quality with reward.
All educators who receive payouts complete identity verification — legal name, national ID, and M-Pesa or bank details. Learners know they are learning from a verified person.
Educators are expected to respond to student forum posts within 48 hours. Unanswered posts are flagged in the teacher dashboard. Response rate is tracked and contributes to the teacher rating.
Quality goes beyond course content. The platform itself must be trustworthy, accessible, and built for African realities.
Compliant with Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, GDPR principles, and COPPA for learners under 13. Your data belongs to you.
All payments processed by Paystack — PCI DSS compliant. M-Pesa, card, and bank transfer supported. No payment data stored on FayEDU servers.
Built for Africa's connectivity reality. Students can access course content offline and sync progress automatically when reconnected.
AI assists course creation — it does not replace the educator. All AI-generated content is reviewed and approved by the educator before publishing.
Courses export to SCORM 2004, web package, and PDF — compatible with Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, and Google Classroom.
FayEDU is part of an active Phase 2 Design-Based Research study on AI-assisted learning outcomes for African learners. Platform improvements are evidence-driven.
FayEDU supports institutional educators and schools who want to create digital content for their learners.
Build in FayEDU, export to your school's existing LMS. Works with Moodle, Google Classroom, Blackboard, and Canvas.
